Our Yunnan Guiben coffee comes from the Xishuangbanna region, situated at an altitude of 1620 meters above sea level. This limited production venture yields only 8 tons annually, with harvests occurring between November and February. Guiben's journey began with Tiancai, a pioneer from Yunnan Coffee Traders who transitioned from coffee roasting to managing his family's farm in Yiwu, Xishuangbanna. Driven by his growing expertise in specialty coffee, Tiancai embarked on this endeavor to cultivate something truly distinct.
The meticulous harvesting process is entrusted to the local tribes of the region, including the Akha, Dai, and Lahu. These communities bring centuries of tradition and a deep connection to the land to their careful picking of each coffee cherry, ensuring that every bean encapsulates the essence of Xishuangbanna.
